Theaters Trust Visit to the Pavilion

Rebecca Moreland and Mark Price from the Theatres Trust have just visited the Pavilion.

The Theaters Trust has been a great supporter of our campaign right from the start. They lobbied the District Council when there was a debate about selling the building. They have been a great source of advice about how we could proceed.

Charles and I showed them round the building and answered their questions. They were enormously impressed as to how far we had progressed in such a short time. They admitted that they were expecting a building in a much poorer condition than we presented it.

They offered two practical suggestions; we should seek funding for the Pump Room and we should plan to have a larger access onto the stage from the wings.

They also offered advice on funding the project.
